bank of india logo, bank of india clerk results, bank of india clerk interview resultsAfter the PO`s, Its time for some to join as Clerks in Bank of India. They have announced the final results in relation to the clerical recruitment project 2011-12. Although the initial advertisement was issued in March, short listing for the interviews were done only by end of may.

This was followed with the personal interviews starting from June 11.So roughly speaking, Bank of India has completed the hiring process in 5 months time.

3129 Called to Join

A total of 3149 clerk vacancies was notified as part of Bank of India recruitment project which invited IBPS common exam qualified people to apply.

Finally, 3129 candidates have been exactly found eligible for appointment as clerk & their names, state applied for & roll no., can be had from the official site here

For the interviews held in the month of June BOI had shortlisted approximately 12200 candidates by fixing state-wise TWS cutoff scores.

Within the next 20 working days, offer letters shall be sent from the respective  zonal offices, says a BOI release.

What was the process:

While personal interview (PI) itself carried a total of 100 marks, it is necessary for each applicant to secure atleast 50% (45% for reserved category) to qualify for final selection.

The final appointment is done by preparing a statewise & categorywise merit list that ranks candidates based on their total marks in CWE and PI.

Going the PO way?

Bank of Baroda few days back had also put up its clerk final list & now its BOI turn.

How far will these results affect others chances will be known when more banks come out with their final lists.

There is also a concern about multiple selections cropping up in clerk posting like in PO recruitments.

Though banks have started issuing second/ waiting lists (for PO jobs) & the same can be expected for clerical posts as well – the time taken for that to happen only increases uncertainty (see Govt. planning common interviews for bank jobs soon)
