State Bank of India has issued yet another list of vacancies not for PO or clerks but for specialist officer cadre.With the highest number of branches across India, SBI started 200 years ago is also the oldest banking organization of the nation.Those looking for senior level appointments can make use of this hiring.
SBI is conducting this specialist officer drive for its 5 associate banks that form the State Bank Group.They are State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ), State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), State Bank of Mysore (SBM), State Bank of Patiala (SBP), State Bank of Travancore (SBT)
Since SBI intends to recruit for 20000 vacancies in the coming months, fresh grads can expect some news in this space.

Position – Vacancies:
Specialist Officers – 514 posts – (across various banks & scales)
Eligibility:
While vacancies exist under various departments, prior experience is required for all posts.
Though freshers cannot apply for all positions, there are few like the one below:
# Assistant Manager (systems) – 231 vacancies
- 1st class degree in BE (comp.)/ B.Tech (comp.engg,)/ M.Sc (comp.science) or MCA from recognized university
- Experience in computer programming is not compulsory but desirable
The minimum age for most job profiles is fixed at 21 years (those born on or after 1.10.1981)

Selection:
The procedure will involve written test (online) & Interview.For certain scales, candidates would be directly shortlisted & called for personal interviews.
The written test will consist of the following sections - English Language, Reasoning/ Quantitative Aptitude & Professional knowledge (PK)
Apart from the PK paper, all others are only of qualifying nature meaning - you will have to secure minimum marks set by the bank in each.
How to Apply?
The application fees of Rs.50 (SC/ST) or Rs.500 (others) can be paid via Online or Offline (by visiting SBI branches) before October 31st.Online payment facility will be available only upto Oct 28th.
