National Insurance Company on behalf of 4 public sector general insurance companies have announced a combined recruitment of 2600 assistants.Jobs in financial sector are becoming the most sought among fresh graduates.While recruitments in public sector banks is reaching new heights, government owned insurance organizations are also joining the party this year.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts common written examinations for PO, Clerk & specialist officer vacancies in public banks.
Similarly, a written test is to be held as part of the selection process for 2600 assistant posts in The New India Assurance, United India Insurance, National Insurance & Oriental Insurance company.

The monthly pay in a metropolitan city would be approx. Rs.15,000.

Who are Eligible?
Like IBPS bank exams there are certain eligibility conditions to apply for insurance assistant recruitment exams 2013:
- Age limit: 18 to 28 years as on June 30, 2013 (+3 yrs for OBC, + 5 yrs for SC/ST)
- 60% marks in HSC/ std.XII (50% for SC/ST/ExSm) OR Pass in any degree from a recognized university as on May 31, 2013
Inaddition to the above, an applicant should also posses local language knowledge of the state he/she is applying.
Tests & Interviews
The selection process for assistants recruitment in 4 public insurance companies is same as that of banking exams.
Candidates have to appear for an objective examination (offline) & qualified individuals will be shortlisted by respective company for personal interview and computer proficiency test.

The pattern of insurance companies assistant recruitment exam is:
Although the exam shall be conducted for a total of 250 marks, it would be proportionately reduced to 35 for ease of final calculations.For each wrong answer 0.25 mark shall be reduced.
Applicants should deposit fee of Rs.70 (all SC/ST/PWD/XS) or Rs.220 (Gen/OBC males) or Rs.120 (gen/obc females) in cash at any State Bank of India branches before June 19th.

- 3 days after depositing the amount, login again to verify your registration status & print the application and challan.
