The IBPS SO Exam 2016 Results have been declared admist much expectations.The examination was conducted as part of the recruitment of Specialist Officer positions in public sector banks.Apart from PO & Clerk jobs, Specialist officer is also one of the most sought after especially among professional degree holders.
On the lines of common written examinations for probationary officer & clerk posts, IBPS has been conducting a similar test for specialist officers.
Accordingly, the IBPS SO 2016 – 2017 (IBPS SPL VI) was announced in the month of November 2016 & online exams were held on January 28, 29 2017.
IBPS SO Scores – Check yours!!
The online exams were for held to fill 4000 specialist officer vacancies across 20 govt owned banks.They are categorized into IT Officer, Agriculture field officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law officer, HR/personnel officer & Marketing officer.
While the test results were announced in the month of February 2017, candidates were not able to view their status only during that time.

IBPS SO 2016 Cutoff Scores
The IBPS SO 2016 total marks & cutoffs of candidates are not yet revealed.It would be published officially by IBPS after completion of interviews, along with allotment orders.
But like previous years, cutoffs are applied in 2 stages:
- Individual test section
- Professional knowledge score
So if a candidate has secured the qualifying score in all sections but failed to cross the cutoff in professional knowledge sections, he/ she is declared as fail in the SO exam.
Note: All sections apart from Professional Knowledge are only for qualifying purpose.
Interviews in March
With the IBPS SPL VI exam results being released – selected candidates will be invited for the common interview process.It can be scheduled to start in the 2nd or 3rd week of March 2017.
Based on the total combined score (online test + Interview), the merit list shall be prepared.So the final allotment should happen in the month of April 2017.
