The Govt. of Assam through Directorate of Elementary Education that functions under department of education has announced recruitment of 6027 teachers in Upper Primary Schools & Lower Primary Schools.As per the official notification, this decision for massive hiring of teachers is taken to support, strengthen & improve the quality of elementary education in the state of Assam.
Education is still a distant dream for many, especially for those in rural areas.Even in regions where schools are present, shortage of quality teachers has made the situation worse.
Its the reason why various state governments are aggresively filling the teacher vacancies in govt schools to improve the condition of education in the country.

Assam DEE Teachers: Who are Eligible?
To apply for the Assam DEE LP & UP teachers recruitment 2017, one needs to fulfil the following eligibility conditions.
Age: Should be within 18 - 43 years of age, as on 1st January 2016 (max age relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
Education: The qualifications are based on the positions advertised.They are:
Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary): 50% in Higher Secondary Exam with LP TET & 2 yr diploma in Elementary Education from recognized institutes OR Any degree with LP TET & 2 yr diploma in Elementary Education.
Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary): Degree from the a recognized University & 2 yr Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Grade Pay Education)
Applicants should be able to read, write & speak the language of the district that they wish to apply.
There are no written exams on personal interviews for this recruitment of teachers in the state of Assam.
After submitting the online applications, candidates would be shortlisted & called for document verification before the District Level Selection Committee of the concerned district on a specific dates.
The tentative dates of document verification for teachers in lower primary schools is from June 5 to 20, 2017.Applicants can visit the website for detailed list of schedule.
How to Apply?
Applicants need to apply online through the website www.lpupteachers.com from 10:00 AM of 08/04/2017 to midnight of 30/04/2017.
After submission of applications, candidates need to deposit an amount of Rs.200/- [Rs. 150/- for SC, ST] in the form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) in the name of ‘Director of Elementary Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19’.
At the time of document verification, the IPQ receipt must be submitted along with other original documents/ certificates.
