Administrative Officer – 300 Posts (scale I) in disciplines of Accounts, Actuaries, Generalist, Legal, Automobile engineers and Medical officers.

The OICL AO salary will be approximately Rs.51000 /month in metro citites, which may include allowances and other benefits.

Who are Eligible?

To apply for Oriental Insurance company`s administrative officer recruitment 2017, one has to fulfill the following conditions,

Age: 21 – 30 yrs of age (+5 yrs for sc/st, +3 yrs for obc, +10 yrs for PWD, + 8 yrs for existing employees of public sector general insurance companies)

Educational qualification: Graduation in any degree (UG or PG) and must have passed in all subjects.

Generalist: Should have completed any UG or PG degree with 60% (55% for others) from a recognized university, as on 31.07.2017

Actuaries: Must have UG or PG degree with 60% in any discipline (55% for SC/ST) and has passed 4 actuarial papers from Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or Institute and Faculty of Actuary, UK (IFoA)

Automobile engineers: Graduate/ PG degree in engineering (4 or 5 Years) with automobile engineering as a subject, with 60% (55% for SC/ST)

Accounts: Should have completed M.Com with 60% (55% for SC/ST) or Chartered Accountants (ICAI) or Cost and Management Accountant or MBA (Finance) with 60% (with 55% for SC/ST), as on 31.7.2017

Legal: Graduate or Post Graduate in law with 60% (55% for SC/ST) from a recognized University.

Selection Process

As part of the OICL AO recruitment 2017, candidates have to appear for Phase I examination in the month of October.

Prelims: It consists of 3 sections for a total of 100 marks.

Candidates need to qualify in each test by securing passing/ cutoff marks, as decided by the company.Only those who qualify in the phase I exam will be shortlisted for the main examinations.

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks.

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.

For each wrong answer in prelims and mains, 0.25 marks will be reduced as negative mark.

Candidates selected in phase II will get qualified for the interview stage, which is the interview.A merit list based on the performance of candidates would be prepared for final selection and appointments are made.

OICL AO Service Bond

All candidates selected for appointment should sign an undertaking agreeing to serve the company for 4 years (including 1 year probation).

In the event of resigning from service before the expiry of bond period, he/ she is liable to pay the salary received in addition to an amount of Rs.40,000 towards cost of training.

The application fee of Rs.600 or Rs.100 (sc/st/pwd) should be paid online at the time of registering your online application itself.
