Vijaya Bank PO Recruitment – 4800 Called for GD & Interviews

Vijaya Bank has released the Interview dates as part of its PO recruitment project 2012.With more banks issuing waiting lists for their unfilled posts, will candidates be able to attend these interviews remains a question.Even if they appear, by the time of final results its possible for them to join other banks.

 

As far Vijaya bank`s hiring is concerned, the online registrations to fill 894 probationary assistant manager vacancies closed on 2nd of June 2012.It had invited only valid IBPS scorecard holder to apply.

A total of 4800 candidates have been shortlisted & their names,roll nos. & interview details are made available in the list given at their website here.Download & search for your details.

Talking about the events, GD & Interviews could be conducted on the same day from August 21 at major cities across India. 

Though there is no mention of call letters/admit cards in the above list, selected candidates have already started receiving intimations through email.

 

An online facility to download call letters directly from their website is also live now.

 

Selection process

The maximum marks for group discussion is 50 & candidates have to secure atleast 20 (17.5 for reserved) to qualify.(see topics for group discussions)

 

Similarly, for personal interview (PI) the total is 100 marks while qualifying score must be 40% (35% for reserved)

 

For the purpose of final selection a merit list shall be prepared ranking candidates based on their performance in CWE,GD & PI out of 400 marks.

 

Depending on the no. of vacancies, the finalists from each category shall be picked & appointed.

Vijaya Bank has released the notification for recruitment of probationary officers & is inviting applications from IBPS CWE qualified candidates.Established in the year 1931 & nationalised in 1980, Vijaya bank is considered as one of the leading small sized public sector bank in India.

 

With its head office in Bangalore (Karnataka state), the bank is present across 28 states with 12000+ employees working in 1300 branches.

Who can apply? 

Vijaya bank has framed the following eligibility conditions, which applicants must satisfy.They are,

• Age to be minimum 20 yrs & max. 30 yrs, as on July 1, 2011
• Should have completed graduation from a recognized univ. (final yrs. & those waiting for results are not eligible to apply)
• Must posses a valid IBPS scorecard with the following score in the CWE 2011
  • General:138 & above (24+ in each subject)
  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD: 113 & above (21+ in each subject)

Selection through Merit:

PO posts in Vijaya bank shall be filled through an Interview for which applicants will be shortlisted based on their CWE scores.

 

The minimum scores mentioned above is just for eligibility purpose.And the bank shall select only those candidates with high scores who have applied for this recruitment.

The selection procedure may include Group discussion along with Interview.In such cases, the max. marks for GD would be 50 marks & for Interview, shall be 100 marks.

1. After making the payment, collect the receipt copy & proceed to submit your online application at vijayabank.com.
2. Enter your reg./roll no, password ot birth date to login.
3. After successful submission, take a print of the submitted application since this form along with original fee receipt must be produced at the time of interview. So preserve them carefully.

Vijaya Bank Officers Recruitment - 814 Posts to be Filled

Vijaya bank has announced recruitment of 800 Officers (generalist/ specialist)under scales.The bank was established in 1931 but was nationalised only in the year 1980.Vijaya bank is head-quartered in Bangalore & has around 1250 branches across India with over 11400 employees.

Eligibility & qualifications vary for each post based on the job profile.But some common conditions are given here,

* While the minimum age is 21 yrs, the maximum age is 35 yrs (scale II), 37yrs (scale III) & 40 yrs (scale IV), as on Nov 22, 2011

* Graduation or PG in specific area of specialization, as given in the list

* Experience of minimum 2 yrs in a bank/ financial institution is required (the no.of years may increase for senior posts)

Fee: Rs.300 or Rs.50 (SC/ST) must be paid in cash using the given payment challan, at any branch of Vijaya bank before December 14 2011.

2. Print the submitted application & send it the mentioned address along with the necessary certificates (list provided) by ordinary post before Dec 21, 2011.

Selection: Unlike other bank recruitments that involve freshers, there is no written test.Since all are middle/ senior positions – Interview shall only be conducted.
