Bank of Maharashtra Clerks Recruitment 2016 | Confirmed Job– No IBPS Scores

Bank of Maharashtra (BOM), one of the oldest public sector banks in India has issued clerk recruitment notification for the year 2016-17.The highlight of this hiring is they dont require IBPS exam scores.The pune based bank is widely present across the nation with over 1800 branches.

Clerk jobs in govt banks are normally filled with candidates who qualify in IBPS clerical exam which is a common test held throughout India.

Bank of Maharashtra has joined hands with private training institutes to offer training & absorb successful passouts as clerks in their own bank.This is much similar to the PO recruitment held by private banks.

Positions:

Clerk (Sales Assistant) – 200 positions (state-wise vacancies, see image attached)

Online registration of applications – August 12 to September 6, 2016

Eligibility Info:

Bank of Maharashtra has specified their own eligibility conditions to apply for this clerical recruitment.It is compulsory for applicants to fulfill these:

• Agelimit to be min. 18  & max. 28 yrs, as on 1.07.2016 (OBC: +3yrs SC/ST: 5 yrs)
• Pass in degree as of July 1, 2016.
• Must know to read/ write/ speak the official language of the state you are applying.

Candidates can apply for any one state only & must appear for the test at a centre located in that specific area.So do not attempt to register for more than one zone.

Selection Process:

All applicants should appear for an online test that contains objective type questions in 4 different sections for a total of 200 marks.BOM clerk recruitment exam pattern is as follows:

Based on your performance in written test, a merit list is prepared & they are called for document verification stage.

Since there are no interviews for clerical jobs in banks, selected candidates are directly shortlisted for the training programme.

Complete Course & Get Job:

All chosen candidates will be admitted to a 6 month training course at NIIT University, Rajasthan OR Manipal Global Insitute of Banking, Rajasthan.

Only those who complete the course successfully shall be appointed as clerk in Bank of Maharashtra as PO (scale I) with an approximate salary of Rs.15 – 17,000 /month.

Course Fee: The cost of this course is Rs.1.89 – 1.94 lakhs which needs to be paid by the candidate personally OR they may avail an education loan from the bank itself.

Incase you take a loan, the EMI repayment starts after joining & deducted from your monthyl salary for 60 months (5 years).

Service Bond: At the time of joining, appointees must execute a service bond agreeing to serve the bank for 1 year, failing which Rs.1,50,000 must be paid to the bank before quitting.
