The most expected IBPS clerk exam results have been announced by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection today. The buildup for this date was very high that people started to get restless expecting the official announcement since the start of February. Though 3 PM was the informed time, surprise was in store at 1.30 PM itself.

Infact BankExamsIndia.com reported last week after our conversation with the Director, IBPS that the clerical cadre results shall be out by the end of February 2012 & its right on time.

Standardized scores same as PO

Mr.M.Balachandran (Director, IBPS) confirmed to BankExamsIndia.com about the scores in individual tests,

Section wise minimum score to be 24 (general) & 21 (others),

So only those who have secured the above would have been considered as pass. Interestingly, these were the same minimum scores fixed for PO exams also.

Lowest Score:

With the minimum score for each section, the lowest total weighted score or TWS has been found to be,

General: 120; Others: 105

As said earlier, the lowest TWS for PO/MT exams were also the same.See IBPS score calculation methods

The director also went to say that passed candidates can view their scores on IBPS website after a week, while those who failed will be able to see them after 2 weeks.

The reason for time delay in releasing these scores was mainly to avoid network congestion that may bring down the site, since 35 lakh people would be logging to know their status, he clarified.

Qualified or Not?

Just like the PO examinations, the result page only displays whether a candidate has passed or failed in the IBPS conducted test. (see screenshot below)
