Punjab National Bank(PNB) has issued notifications calling for IInd phase of interviews.PNB had earlier put up the final list of candidates selected for appointment as Management trainees. This news is sure to rise hopes among people who are in a state of frustration over multiple selection of high scorers.
“Will i get a chance to attend atleast one bank interview” is the numero uno question haunting many bank job aspirants.There are valid reasons for it which can be understood if you look at the cutoffs for po jobs in 2012.
Punjab National Bank had advertised their plans to recruit 775 Management Trainees through IBPS CWE qualifiers.
2nd Phase Started
The appointment list released by PNB in June saw only 317 applicants getting selected for the job leaving 450 posts vacant.Although the bank did not reveal its next course of action, it was expected for them to come up with waitlists.
But the public sector bank has decided to call for fresh interviews again by uploading a new file.For this phase II process 2607 candidates have been shortlisted.

Personal interviews for these applicants starts from July 30 which extends upto the 1st week of August 2012.
An online facility to print call letters would also be made available soon.
Cut-offs?
If you are looking for cutoff scores fixed for this exercise to gauge your rank, then its not possible.PNB has not disclosed any cutoff or category making it difficult for others to analyze their chances.
There was no mention of qualifying scores even for the previous interview held in the month of June.
