Who are Eligible?

To apply for SSC CHSL 2017 exam, you are required to satisfy certain eligibility conditions such as,

– Agelimit: 18 – 27 yrs as on 1.08.2018  (+5yrs: SC/ST,+3yrs:OBC +10yrs: PH)

– Pass in Std.12 or equivalent as on Jan 1, 2017

As the minimum educational qualification is 12th std, all those who have a degree from regular or distance education (must be from recognized university) are also eligible to apply.

Since these jobs are not part of banking sector, IBPS exam scores are NOT required to apply.

Examination Process:

SSC shall conduct an objective written examination for the above mentioned posts.

  • For Data Entry Operator, there will a Written exam & Skill test (data entry)
  • Postal/ Sorting Assistant, Lower Division Clerk & Court Clerks: Written test & Typing test.

The written test consists of two stages – Tier I (objective questions), Tier II (descriptive test) & Tier III (typing/ skill test)

SSC-CHSL-2017-18-exam-pattern

While there is negative marking for each wrong answer (0.25 marks), only those candidates, who secure at least the minimum qualifying cutoff marks in the Tier-I & Tier-II will be called for Tier III (skill test/ typing test).

How to Register?

Candidates interested to apply for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level can choose to submit their applications through online mode only.

The application fee is Rs.100 should be paid online after submitting your registration form by transferring the amount via internet banking, debit/ credit cards/ SBI challan etc.,

FEE EXEMPTION: All women candidates & males/ females who belong to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen are completely exempted from paying fees (not required to pay).
