Written Test Procedure

As part of the UIIC AO recruitment 2016, candidates have to appear for an online examination in the month of June.


UIIC AO Recruitment Exam Pattern


Apart from the above objective tests, there will be a descriptive tests for 30 marks, which must also be taken online (on a computer).It is only for qualifying purposes only.


The descriptive test contains 2 questions:

  • Essay writing – 20 marks
  • Letter writing – 10 marks

Out of 30 marks, candidates have to secure these cutoffs: 15 marks (gen/obc) or 13.5 (SC/ST)


Those who score the necessary cutoffs in each section of the objective test & on total scores would be called for interviews.


UIIC AO Service Bond

All candidates selected for appointment should sign an undertaking agreeing to serve the company for 4 years (including 1 year probation).


In the event of resigning from service before the expiry of bond period, he/ she is liable to pay the salary received in addition to an amount of Rs.25,000 towards cost of training.


Registration Process:

Like in previous cases, fees of Rs.100 (SC/ST/PWD) or Rs.600 (Gen/OBC) must be paid only through online mode.

SBI PO Prelims Exam: Previous Year Cutoffs [Sectional & Total]

SBI PO Prelims Cutoffs: Important Points

There are certain important things that you should know about these SBI PO preliminary cutoffs inorder to sail smooth & reach the next stage.


While those who are appearing for these recruitments every year may know it but first-timers must understand the following:

  • You need to secure the minimum qualifying marks (cutoffs) in each of the 3 section & also on total marks
  • Even if you don't posses the necessary cutoff scores in any 1 section OR your total score is not above the total cutoff, you wont qualify.
  • There is no waiting list for preliminary test

The SBI PO preliminary exam is only a screening test, just for qualifying purpose only.These scores will not be considered during the final section stage.

SBI PO salary has always been the best compared to its peers.While the basic pay is Rs.27,620 in the scale of Rs.23,700 - 42020, employees are eligible for DA, HRA/ Lease rental, medical & many other benefits.
An officer shall get a salary of minimum Rs.63,000 to maximum of 1 lakh /month depending on his/ her place of posting, which includes the allowances as well.So the take home salary will be lesser than the figure above.

What is the Eligibility?

Applicants have a reason to feel happy here as State bank of India has not made any changes to its criteria & remains the same like last year.

So the eligibility condition to apply for the SBI PO recruitment 2016 are,
  • Completed degree in any discipline, as on August 31, 2016
  • Age to be within 21 & 30 years as on April 1, 2016 (OBC -3yrs, SC/ST – 5 yrs)

Are you a loan defaulter? If you had taken any home loan, personal loan, educational loan & defaulted in repayment (not paying the monthly installements) – you are not eligible to apply for this PO recruitment in SBI.


This loan defaulter condition was introduced in clerk recruitment as well.


Number of Chances There is a limit on the number of times a person can appear for the SBI PO exam. As per this rule:

  • General – 4 chances
  • OBC – 7
  • SC/ ST – No restriction

It means, a general category candidates who had already appeared for 4 previous PO exams conducted by State bank of India are not eligible for this SBI PO recruitment 2016.


While OBC candidates are given 7 chances, SC/ ST can apply for any number of times since they dont have any limits.


The no. of attempts should be counted from the exam held on April 18, 2010


Selection Process

State Bank of India (SBI) shall conduct two stage exam process – Prelims & Mains based on which, final selections are done.The procedure is as follows:
  1. All applicants will need to appear for a preliminary test in July 2016.
  2. Those who qualify in prelims will be shortlisted for the main examination
  3. Group discussion & Personal interviews shall be conducted for qualifiers of main exam.

Based on the marks secured in phase II, candidates shall be called for GD & Interview.The final selection shall be announced considering your scores in these two phases.

OBC Specialist Officers: Who are Eligible?

To all those who ask the above question, we have explained the eligibility criteria for OBC recruitment 2016 below,


For Senior Manager (Risk Management):

  • Aged between 25 - 35 yrs as on April 1, 2016
  • Graduate in any stream full time regular course with aggregate 60% marks AND PG degree (full time) in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics OR
  • MBA in Finance/Banking/Risk Management OR PG Diploma in Finance/ Banking/ Risk Management) OR Engineering with aggregate 60% marks OR
  • Completed professional courses like CA/ICWA/CFA (USA)

A minimum experience of 3 years in public or private banks under Basel II/ III framework is necessary.


For Manager (IT):

  • Age to be within 23-35 yrs, as on April 1, 2016
  • BE or PG degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Computer Applications/ ECE OR MCA

2 year experience of working in a bank/ NBFC/ financial institution is required.


For Manager (Chartered Accountant):

  • Between 23-35 yrs, as on April 1, 2016
  • Should have passed the CA final examination

No experience required if CA exam was passed in 1st attempt. Those who took more than 1 attempt to pass CA exam must have 1 year experience in financial sector.


For Manager (Security):

  • 23 to 35 years of age
  • Must posses a degree from any recognized university
  • 5 yrs officer experience in Indian Army / Navy / Air Force OR Paramiltary forces.

For Security Officer:

  • Aged within 21 – 35 years, as on 1.04.2016
  • Completed any degree in any discipline

Must have been an officer with 3 yrs commissioned service in Indian Army / Navy / Air Force OR Paramiltary forces


Candidates who have not appeared for IBPS bank exams are also eligible to apply.

Computer knowledge proficiency: All applicants expect Manager (IT) should have certificate/ diploma or degree in computer operations/ language OR must have studied computer science/ IT as one of the subject in high school or college.



Depending on the number of applicants, there may be a written test else the seletction process will consist of

  • Group Discussion – 50 marks
  • Personal Interview – 100 marks

A written test would be held only if large number of applications are received. In such a case the online exam will be in the following pattern

For this purpose only, they came up with a two tier exam process last year, similar to UPSC (civil services) that included – Preliminary & Main exams.


Now even more fine tuning has been done to make sure only the worthy persons are shortlisted for PO (officer) jobs.


Hereafter, the SBI PO Mains will be held in the following structure:

  • Objective Tests for 200 marks 
  • Fixed time limit for each section
  • Descriptive paper for 25 marks
  • Both tests to be online only.

The duration of objective tests has been increased to 3 hours & will consist of 4 sections for a total of 200 marks.


Each section will have a specific time limit, within which candidates must complete it.

Descriptive paper in english language shall be for 25 marks (30 minutes).It would contain questions such as letter writing & essay, that should also be answered on computer only.


Your marks in descriptive test will also be taken for final selection.Therefore the total for SBI PO mains examination will be 225 marks.


SBI PO Preliminary Test Pattern – No Changes

The preliminary examination consists of objective tests in 3 sections for 100 marks. There is no change in the prelims test pattern.

ESIC UDC, MTS Exam 2016: Answer Keys Released | Report Wrong Answers Too

If you had applied for ESIC UDC, MTS & Steno recruitment 2016 – here is an important update.The employees state insurance corporation (ESIC) has uploaded the answer keys for the online test held in the month of March 2016.They have also opened the links for candidates to view their chosen answer & submit objections incase they find any incorrect choices done by the organization.


The ESIC recruitment 2016 notification was announced in December 2015 to fill 3700 vacancies of Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) & Stenographer.


As the positions were present in various state offices of ESIC, the online written exams were held from March 18 to 27, 2016.


How to Get ESIC Exam Answer Keys

  • Objections must be entered only in english (those sent in hindi or other languages wont be considered)
  • 1 objection can only be sent for 1 question ID.

Since the last date to file your requests ends on May 6 at 6 PM, ESIC would examine the objections received & correct the answer keys.Then they would proceed for final evaluation.

SBI Clerk 2016 Recruitment: Today is Last date to Apply for 17,000 Jobs

Important Rules for SBI Clerk Recruitment

For all those who are hurrying to register for these exams a this last hour, here are the important conditions fixed by the bank.


1) Candidates can apply for vacancies in any one state and for 1 post only.


2) For Junior Associates:Applicant should have completed graduation in any degree as on June 30, 2016


For Junior Agricultural Associates: A degree in agriculture or agriculture allied activities is necessary.


3) Final semester/ year students are also eligble to apply provided they should be able to provide proof of passing the degree exam on or before 30.06.2016 during document verification stage.


4) All candidates applying for this recruitment in SBI should be able to write & speak English


5) Proficiency in the official language of the state you are applying is compulsory (read, write & speak)


6) You must have studied the official language in std.X, which should be mentioned in the class 10 marksheet as well.The list of official languages for each state is given in the notification itself.


All those who cannot provide the above proof have to appear for a language test.SBI had revised the language list recently for few states.


7) The age limit for clerical cadre jobs in SBI is 20 – 28 as on April 1, 2016 (age relaxation applies for OBC,SC & ST)

8) Have you taken loans from any bank & are not repaying it regularly or have not paid it at all? Then you are not eligible for this SBI clerk recruitment 2016.See why here


9) While scanning your signature onto the application form, remember to sign in black ink on white paper.


10) The application fee is Rs.600 (for general/ obc) & Rs.100 (SC/ST) that has to be paid online before April 28th too.

Official Notification: RRB NTPC Exam Postponed for 8 Centres | New Dates Out

The official notification about the RRB NTPC exams getting postponed has been released by Indian Railways.They have rescheduled the examinations for 8 centres including West Bengal & new dates have also been released.This is a good news for all those anxious candidates who were worried whether the RRB exams will be cancelled.


Is rrb ntpc exam cancelled or postponed? was the biggest confusion in the minds of numerous candidates after a section of them received SMS from railways on their test dates being rescheduled.


RRB Exams 2016: New Dates for 8 Centres

According to the latest notification, railway recruitment board has changed the dates only for 8 centres in India due to administrative reasons.They are:

  • Allahabad – 6 centres
  • Pune – 1
  • Delhi – 1
  • West Bengal (few centres)

The computer based tests (CBT) that are to be held in the following venues from April 26 – 30, 2016 will now be conducted in other centres on May 2 & 3.

There is NO change in exams that were already completed in other states.So if you had appeared for the test before April 26 from a different city, you are not affected.


Notice for West Bengal Candidates:

On account of assembly elections in West Bengal, RRB Kolkatta has issued an announcement regarding allotment of exam centres.It says,


“…candidates who have opted their examination cities in the state of West Bengal but could not be accommodated within their 5 opted choices of exam cities, are being rescheduled for CEN-03/2015.”


They are also informing about this rescheduling process through sms & email following which the revised e-call letters must be downloaded from RRB kolkatta website.

‘There Was No Paper Leak’, says RRB Official

In another development related to the postponement of RRB NTPC exams,a news report in Indian express talks about the reasons for rescheduling the tests.


“We got information on irregularities at six centres in Allahabad.Also, a centre in Dwarka had caught fire.Therefore we have rescheduled in those places”. he explained.


“These are online exams and therefore there are no chances of such malpractices.” said an officer with the railway recruitment control board denying the news on paper leak.


Since the official notification has been released by RRB themselves, candidates can breathe a sigh of relief.Now you need not believe any website which says the rrb ntpc exams as cancelled.


If they still say the same, just show them this notification & ask them to read the last line.
