Andhra Bank 2nd Phase Clerk Recruitment for 850 Vacancies

The bank in the month of May had issued an advt to fill 600 clerical vacancies. The last date was also extended after changing the minimum educational qualifications.

 

An important point to note here is, candidates who had applied previously but couldn't get interview calls can reapply without paying fees.

Am I Eligible?

Inorder to submit your applications for these clerk posts in Andhra bank, the following eligibility criteria must be satisfied,

  1. Aged within 18 - 28 yrs as on Aug 1, 2011 (+5 yrs for SC/ST, +3 yrs for OBC)
  2. Pass in degree OR 60% marks aggregate in HSC or 12th exam
  3. Official language of the state applied for should be known
  4. Posses knowledge of computer operations with proficiency in MS Office

Above all, the applicant should have secured TWS scores equal to or above the ones mentioned in image.

 

Selections:

Candidates sending applications will be shortlisted based on their scores in IBPS common exam & no. of vacancies.The ratio of selection will normally be in the ratio of 1:3 or 1:5 (each category).

 

A merit list shall be prepared statewise/ categorywise taking into account the scores of CWE & Interview.Depending on this, final selections will be made.

 

Registrations:

Applicants of 600 clerks project who did not receive interview call can apply again without the need to pay fees.

 

For others, ahe application fees have been fixed at Rs.150 (gen/obc) & Rs.50 (sc/st) which can be remitted at any branch of Andhra bank or through NEFT payment.

  • Take a print of the challan available at andhrabank.in & deposit payment
  • Collect receipt from bank & proceed to submit your online application

Also remember to print the system generated form which should be produced during interview process.

Though Andhra bank had called for applications previously too, they had reservations.In the month of January 2012, 85 OBC posts was published.In July, andhra bank with manipal group teamed up for PO recruitment cum training program.

 

19000 PO jobs were created previously & we only hope these latest vacancies provides a chance for other non-selected ones to enter the interviewing halls.

Eligibility conditions:

All applicants must have qualified in the common written exam conducted by IBPS & posses the following qualifications.

 

Probationary officer

  • Age to be within 20 - 30 yrs as on 1.07.2011 (+5 yrs for SC/ST, +3yrs for OBC)
  • Completed graduation in any discipline
  • Certificate in computer operations (MS-Office) is required if you did not study computer science at school level.
  • Must have secured 24 (gen) & 21 (others) in each section including descriptive & TWS of 151 (Gen & OBC), 141 (SC/ST/PWD)

IT officer:

  • Only those who qualified in IBPS specialist officer CWE 2012 can apply
  • Degree (UG or PG) in CS/ CA/ IT/ EC/ Instrumentation OR Any degree with DOEACC ‘B’ level certificate.
  • In addition, the minimum TWS score is 128 (gen,obc) & 120 (sc/st/pwd)

Selection process

Andhra bank may conduct group discussion & personal interview or any one of the two.For interviews a total of 35 marks is allotted but scoring 14 marks (gen,obc) or 12(others) is needed for entry into final list.

 

Based on the number of vacancies notified only limited number of registrants shall be shortlisted as per their TWS scores for further stages.In most cases, a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 is followed

 

How to apply:

Pay application fees of Rs.20 (SC/ST) or Rs.100 (Gen/OBC) by cash at any branch of Andhra bank using the challan OR through NEFT from any other banks before Sep 15.

The is very similar to ICICI bank PO recruitment programme & Baroda Manipal PO recruitment but there is a difference:

 

Andhra bank is inviting IBPS PO scorecard holders only which means, all those who had passed the PO CWE held in September 2011 are eligible to apply for this training cum recruitment process.

 

Dates to note:

Online application registrations – July 30 to August 14, 2012

Group discussion/ Interview – in the months of Aug/ September

Training for 1st batch starts in the last week of Sept.

 

Who are eligible:

If you are looking to apply for this andhra bank recruitment, the following eligibility conditions must be fulfilled,

Candidates selected in this manner will undergo 9 month classroom training at Manipal university,Bangalore followed by a 3 month internship at any branch of Andhra bank.

 

On completion of 12 months training, the trainees shall be awarded Post graduate diploma in banking & finance along with their appointment letter to work as PO in andhra bank drawing a salary of Rs.3 lacs /year.

 

The cost of undergoing this course if Rs.3.30 lacs which can be paid by availing a loan  from Andhra bank.This amount will be reimbursed to you by the bank after 5 years of service , though the bond period is 3 years.

 

For meeting your personal requirements during training stage, monthly stipend of Rs.2500 (during 9 months) & Rs.10000 (internship) shall be paid.

This is a special hiring drive to fill backlog vacancies only in OBC category.

 

With a payscale of Rs.14,500 – 25700, the salary shall be approx.Rs.24,994 /month (could vary with location of branch)
