As part of this tie-up, selected candidate will be enrolled for 1 year PG diploma (banking & finance) course & on successful completion of training they shall be inducted into Bank of Baroda as probationary officer (scale I).

For the current year 2013-14, BMSB is to takein 4 batches (once every 3 months), each consisting of 300 students.

Selection process

The procedure to gain entry into Baroda manipal school of banking goes through these 3 stages,

  1. Online Test
  2. Group discussion
  3. Personal Interview

BOB says,

the aim is to find people who are bright, have good communication skills (oral & written), are dedicated, can work effectively in teams, are passionate about their career goals and who display integrity and a positive attitude.

Though students are to be admitted in batches once every 3 months, they shall be selected in advance through this single exam. The next recruitment exercise will happen only in the year 2014.

Baroda Manipal Test Pattern

Unlike regular banking exams involving OMR sheets this is not a written examination but an online test that is scheduled on July 7, 2013.It consists of the following papers.

Candidates will have to attend around 200 objective questions within 2 hours & 5 descriptive type in 60 minutes.

Descriptive Test:

This section is to test your written english skills through Comprehension, Precis, Letter Writing & Essay.See how to prepare for descriptive test & model questions

It is only a qualifying test & marks secured in this part wont be added to total scores.

Books:

There are no separate books available for baroda manipal exam.Instead you can make use of IBPS PO CWE materials.

* PO Officers Exam Guide – Rs.347 – Buy online (has practice quests, solved papers & descriptive)

With the exam only in July concentrate on practicing as many problems possible. In addition, this guide will also be useful for upcoming IBPS PO 2013 exams.

Cutoff & Marks

A total of 200 marks is allotted for the online objective test. For each wrong answer, negative mark is awarded (could be 0.25)

Based on your performance in both tests cutoffs shall be fixed for each category.

BOB would then call those in the merit list for group discussion & personal interviews in the ratio of 1:4 (approx. 5000 candidates)

Exam Difficulty Level:

Although BOB hasn't mentioned anything about the level of questions, the pattern looks similar to that of IBPS PO exams. So expect moderate – difficult questions as there are only limited seats available per batch.

We contacted few candidates who appeared for last year`s test.

Though they were not able to recollect the question paper, most agreed that reasoning & quantitative aptitude sections played the tricky part.

Since the period to prepare for baroda manipal`s test is pretty long we suggest registrants to devote extra time for those two papers during preparations.

Announcement of Results:

The first batch of students are expected to join baroda manipal school of banking`s campus at Bangalore in September this year.

So in all probability one can look forward for the test results by July end that`ll pave way for GD & interviews in August 2013.

Baroda Manipal School of Banking 2012 Exam [Candidate Review]

baroda-manipal-school-of-banking-po-2012-2013-logo,baroda manipal school of banking exam pattern, bank of baroda manipal questions, baroda manipal school of banking exam review, baroda manipal school of banking online exam test patternBank of Baroda along with Manipal University has setup Baroda Manipal School of Banking(BMSB) to train candidates in banking sector & recruit them as PO in BOB.For the year 2012-13, 4 batches have been planned & to gain admission for this process, an online test is being held.

Registrants for the exam were curious about the selection procedure from the beginning as it differed from other bank tests.

While answers are to be filled in coding sheets for conventional exams, the baroda manipal test is computer based – meaning you will have to ‘click’ the right answer. For this reason, we had posted a detailed look about Baroda manipal PO selection process

Mr.Amarender Jannu, our reader from Andhra Pradesh appeared for this exam on July 5 at a centre in Hyderabad. He sent in his review/ experience of baroda manipal school of banking`s online test, which is produced below.

    Blueprint:

He gives a general outline of the online examination as,

    • Number of questions: 180
    • Duration: 2 hours (120 mins)
    • Sheets were provided for rough work

    Sections:

How many questions were asked in each section

    • English language - 50 Questions
    • Logical reasoning - 50 Questions
    • Numerical aptitude- 40 Questions
    • General awareness - 40 Questions

It was mentioned that wrong answer fetches negative mark of 0.25

    Performance:

Was the paper easy or tough?Mr.Amarender shares it in his own words,

    1. In English, I attended 30 questions. The first 10 were too tough.Try them at the end.Except for paragraph (comprehension) type, others were okay

    2. Reasoning questions were easy & completed 29 of it

    3. Numerical aptitude saw me attend 28 questions that were of medium level of difficulty.

    4. General awareness part could be easy for those who have appeared for such banking exams.Personally, I did not perform well in GA as this was my first test & was able to finish only 20 questions. It is enough for candidates to prepare only the basics for this section.

Since we had to attend 180 questions within 120 mins & that too on a computer, the questions appeared lengthy.

Overall, the baroda manipal exam pattern was easy for me but time management is required to get through the entire paper.

We extend our wishes to Mr.Amarender for sharing his observations that should be an eye-opener for many others who are to sit for the exam in coming days.
