IBPS Clerk Interview Results Released; Allotments in May 2013

After PO, its time for banks to complete clerk recruitment as IBPS clerk interview results have been declared.If things go as per schedule, the allotments could be finalized before end of May.These activities are all part of the clerical CWE held in December 2012 across India.With the results coming out soon, all eyes are now on total no. of clerk jobs in public banks.

 

Not long ago, banks took more than 8 months to complete a recruitment exercise which was widely criticized by bank job aspirants.

 

To minimize the time taken IBPS common written examination were introduced & qualifiers were directly called for interviews in public sector banks for PO, clerk and specialist officer posts. 

 

Final Results Announced

Although 1 lakh candidates cleared the written test, they should also qualify in common interview to become eligible for allotment process.If not they will end up getting disqualified.

Based on your total scores (for 100) preference registration shall begin & depending on vacancies in the bank & choose of order, allotments would be done automatically.

 

35000 Clerk Jobs to be filled Soon

IBPS shall follow the same timeline for clerk selections just like PO recruitment. While 22,000 PO jobs were notified for qualifiers, approx. 35,000 clerk vacancies are to be filled this season.

 

The institute has given advertisements in leading newspapers detailing its future course of action.According to it, events to look forward in the coming days are listed below:

As you can see, we are nearing the last leg of clerical recruitment.In less than a month, candidates will know whether to join a bank or start preparing for the next common bank exams.

 

Clerk CWE 2012 Test Scores

Govt. of india recently recommended many changes in the way bank jobs were filled right from eligibility conditions to mode of exam.As per it, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) planned an online clerical common test for the first time.

The computer based examinations were held on December 15,16, 22, 23, 29 & 30, 2012 (including re-exams) in 2 sessions across the country. Although most candidates felt slight discomfort in clicking answers using mouse, the exam was termed easy but lengthy

IBPS PO 2012 – 2013 Allotments | Banks Announce Joining Dates

The wait is finally over for numerous bank job aspirants with public sector banks posting joining dates for those selected in IBPS PO allotments 2012 - 2013.These system assisted appointments gain importance from this year as it has replaced the traditional selection procedures followed by individual banking organizations.

 

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection set the ball rolling for PO recruitment in March 2012 through an advt. of common written examination for probationary officer positions.

 

Mission: Completed

Once the CWE results were out, it was time for 61000 qualifiers to get ready for common interviews.The massive exercise started in January 2013 came to an end in mid February.

What followed then: be it the preference registration for 22400 PO vacancies or the allotments is known already.

In the final stages, registrants were shortlisted based on their combined scores & categories.Since IBPS had also published the maximum and minimum cutoff scores for successful allotments candidates can know where they stand.

 

Who is Calling?

Based on the preferences given by qualified candidates, IBPS completed the allotment process for 21 participating banks/ organisations & also intimated their status by sending SMS messages.

 

Now the PO allotments results are out, its the turn of those govt. owned banks to fill their vacancies. And they are starting to put up such announcements online so you don't miss the events.

Calling now: Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, IOB, OBC, United bank, IDBI Bank, Syndicate bank, Andhra bank, Dena Bank

 

Bank of Baroda had advertised for recruitment of 1530 POs through the common selection procedure.

 

Candidates are being provided with four dates in the month of April, May & July to choose their joining.So if you were allotted BOB, visit their website here, login using roll no./ password & submit your preference.

 

Canara Bank, with 2000 vacancies has released the names of those provisionally selected for the post of PO.View the complete list on their official webpage here

 

While joining could start in the last week of April refer your offer letters for exact dates.

 

Indian Overseas Bank could be the largest recruiter as 2300 seats were to be filled through this common selections.

Oriental Bank of Commerce has also uploaded the list of qualifiers who were allotted to OBC by IBPS.It had disclosed 275 vacancies.Download the notification from their website here.

 

They are to report at OBC`s training colleges at Noida & Chandigarh on April 28 for completing joining formalities.The induction training shall begin 29th onwards.

 

United Bank of India had 750 PO positions allocated for CWE passouts & it seems they have finalized the appointments.The Kolkata based bank has listed their provisionally selected in this file here 

 

Candidates are advised to report at specified location for document verification & medical test.It should be noted that appointment letters are to be issued only after completion of this procedures.

 

IDBI Bank has also joined the bandwagon by completing its hiring exercise for 500 PO`s.The ones who received allotment sms in this bank can login here & know their status.

 

The bank has enumerated the necessary documents/ certificates to produce along with venue details which starts at major cities from April 22.Download the instructions notice from here

 

Syndicate Bank was one of the participating organisation in IBPS PO CWE with 1500 PO openings.They have decided to open the gates for first batch of selected candidates in the month of May.

 

Individual intimations would be sent on joining & reporting dates, says its notification here. There could be also more batches announced in the coming days.

 

Andhra bank evinced interest to seat 1560 PO`s with recruitment passouts.They have now uploaded the list of names of candidates chosen for appointment in their bank.

Dena Bank having 700 officer positions is inviting selected individuals to report at the specified addresses for completing joining formalities.

To Note:

Like we confirmed with the authorities earlier, eligibility criteria remains the same as stipulated by IBPS in its CWE notification.

 

Although there wont be any more selection process or change in eligibility/ qualification conditions, candidates should produce original documents/ proofs to their allotted banks for verification.

 

The list of documents to submit at the time of joining will be mentioned in your appointment letters.

IBPS Releases Final Scores for PO Recruitment | Allotments in March

The action from IBPS does seems to end with continuous updates about their common selection procedure.As announced earlier the combined marks of candidates has been released paving way for recruitment of PO/ MT in public sector banks.It was only few days back the list of upcoming bank jobs for the year 2013 were revealed.

 

All government owned banks (except SBI & its associate banks) had mandated the institute of banking personnel selection to conduct common written examinations for entry level positions.

 

Replacing earlier methods, a common interview process was devised for over 60000 candidates who qualified in the IBPS CWE II on June 2012

 

Final Combined Results

The written test was conducted for a total of 250 marks & scores of each individual were displayed along with their result status.Common interviews were scheduled in mid January for those declared as successful.

Since all testings came to an end, the institute has come out with its final results & total combined score (cwe+interview).These scorings can now be viewed by logging in using your registration details at ibps website here

 

 

This score shall be used in preparation of merit list based on which appointment offers would be sent.

 

What is the Formula to Calculate Scores?

Ever since the news of final results were out candidates have been busy trying to find the methodology behind their scores.So here it is for everyone to calculate themselves

 

By applying weightage ratio of 80:20 (set by govt.) on CWE & interview scores, the formula is

 

Total combined score (Tcs) = (CWE score / 250) * 80 + Interview score (IS) IS = (CWE / 250) * 80 – Tcs

 

Interview Marks

On the current webpage, there is no column for interview marks.We believe the common interviews could have been for 100 marks.So to find your original mark,

Interview marks = (IS / 20) * 100

While the minimum marks fixed to qualify in interview is 40% for general category, its 35% for others.

 

Although IBPS has not attached any official notification the above formulae seems to work for many.Incase if it doesn't, there is no other choice apart from waiting for the institute to unveil it.

 

Steps Ahead

With the completion of common selection procedure, candidates are to register their order of preference for all participating organisations from the last week of February.

 

A detailed notice along with category wise listing of 22400 PO jobs was put up for aspirants to decide their choices in advance and be prepared to register.

 

Once the choices are taken allotments depending on the merit list and vacancies shall happen within March 2013.

Syndicate Bank Clerks Recruitment – Final Results Out!!

This Diwali will bring smiles to handful of bank job aspirants as Syndicate bank has announced the results for its clerical recruitment.With this being the final list, selected people are all set to become part of employees of the bank.There were not any big news for past few weeks but would`nt this be the greatest gift on a festival day?

 

Speaking about Syndicate bank`s recruitment, an advertisement to fill 1000 clerk posts came out in the month of June 2012.Following this were personal interviews held for chosen few.

 

Over 950 To Join

For 1000 positions, the bank had fixed state-wise & category-wise cutoff scores as minimum eligibility.Only those who with the specified score in IBPS CWE were invited to apply. 

Syndicate bank has finally found 980+ candidates eligible for appointment as clerk & their roll no., along with opted state are published that can be downloaded from the official site here (.pdf) 

Appointment offers shall be sent separately who need to attend medical test & produce certificates/documents to prove age, education etc for confirmation of offer, says a statement from the bank.

 

There is no mention of final cutoffs in the list published but whether they are releasing it later or not would be known in the coming weeks.

 

Scoring Process:

The minimum qualifying mark to qualify in personal interview & proceed for final selection was 40% (35% for OBC/SC/ST)

 

The merit list is prepared by considering your total marks & ranked in descending order as per state & category from which candidates are shortlisted.

 

End of Interviews

IBPS RRB Officers & Assistants CWE 2012 – Scores Announced!

The results of common written exam for officer jobs in Regional Rural Banks was released by IBPS today.The news has caught many by surprise as RRB results were not expected so soon.Moreover many were quite busy in knowing their selection activity in PO/MT CWE declared few weeks back.What's next for these passouts & most importantly how will they be chosen? Lets see them!

 

For the first time, a common test for officer & office assistant vacancies in rural banks was proposed similar to commercial banks.On behalf of 82 RRB`s, IBPS conducted the tests on September 2 & 9, 2012.

 

Over 10 Lakh Appear!

How many passed could be the biggest question that many would be thinking.The official figures are not known yet but we had already reported of 5.45 lakh people turn up for the officer cadre exams alone. (see 10 lakh eyeing RRB jobs)

Scoring method:

What formula does IBPS employ to calculate marks & scores in RRB common exams, could been the single biggest question asked by many.The institute has revealed it,

TWS Score = Standard scores in (Reasoning * 1.25 + Numerical ability/ Quantitative aptitude * 1.25 + General awareness + English/Hindi language + Computer knowledge * 0.50)

The minimum qualifying score in each section for Office assistant (OA) & Officer posts were

• 19 (Gen/OBC) & 17 (SC/ST)

Similarly the min. total weighted standard score (TWS) fixed were,

• OA - 95 (gen/obc) & 89 (sc/st)
• Officer (sc I) – 103 (gen/obc) & 97 (sc/st)

Only those who have secured the above scores in each section & TWS are considered successful in the RRB exams.

 

10000 Posts may be Filled

The regional rural banks collectively had recruited around 9500 people for officer & assistant level posts in 2011.

It is expected for these RRB`s to fill approx.10000 vacancies this year too according to the IBPS director.

Since these banks are located only in a particular state with just a handful number of branches - one cannot expect huge intake as witnessed in large PSB`s.

 

No Common Interviews

Ever since the announcement of common interviews for PO & clerk positions was made by the govt, aspirants are eagerly waiting to know its exact procedure.

But IBPS in their results page are advising qualified candidates to watch out for RRB recruitment advertisement & submit individual online applications based on the eligibility notified by each.

In such a scenario, the regional banks will shortlist from applications received only those who have secured sufficiently high marks in CWE.

SBI Clerk Final Results Declared; Vacancies Increased

There is always a sense of excitement whenever State bank of India comes out with announcement. On Tuesday, this feeling came to the fore for many on hearing the release of SBI assistants & stenographers recruitment results.

 

Although IBPS has been mandated to conduct common written examinations for 20 public sector banks in the country, SBI & its associate banks do not participate. Instead they are permitted to fill their vacancies through a separate selection procedure of their own.

 

Inline with this decision, the country’s largest bank had advertised to fill 9500 vacancies (8500 assistants/clerks & 1000 stenographers) in the month of March 2012.The written examination was also held on May 27 and June 3.

 

The Final List

Since clerical positions exist in each state, category-wise & circle-wise list of vacancy status was also publicized. According to it, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow & Kolkatta had 601, 708, 846, 769 seats available.

 

Following the release of test results, personal interviews were attended by those shortlisted in September/October.

Now having completed all the processes, list of appointments (phase I) have been declared who shall join SBI in clerk cadre.Their roll nos. can be had by downloading the file from here (.pdf)

All successful candidate will be sent offer letters by post from local head office, says an official release.

 

Posts Increased & Phase II Results

The original notification pegs the intended no. of assistants to be recruited at 8500 but final list has over 18000 candidates chosen for that specific level.

So it’s highly possible for SBI to have increased the vacancies midway considering upcoming requirements. We were not able to reach any officials to confirm this but believe it to be the reason behind choosing so many people.

It is also not known on which states stood to gain most with this sudden doubling of posts.

 

More in waiting: The surprise doesn’t stop here as the bank has also mentioned of publishing phase II results very soon. Now the big question is – what is this phase II about?

 

Again, nothing much is mentioned about this move by state bank making candidates to guess.

 

But one thing to note in the final list is the no. of stenographer selections. Out of 1000 steno. openings, just 20 have been chosen. So will the remaining be part of phase II?

IBPS PO Exam 2012: Scores & Cutoffs Released Online

After a brief lull IBPS is back in news as the institute has opened its gates for those who appeared in its 2nd PO common written exam to know their scores.Earlier they were only able to know their status (pass/fail).The institute also shares about the TWS calculation methods & cutoffs scores.

 

To apply for probationary officer jobs in public sector banks, IBPS had conducted a pan-India written test on June 17 that was attended by over 7.5 lakh aspirants.

 

The results announced few weeks back saw 61000 clear the exam which is just 8% of the total appearances.While the paper was said to be tough, the other reason is cutoff scores.

What's your mark?

The scores of all candidates are now published by IBPS which can be accessed by entering your roll/ registration no. & password/ date of birth from their website here

 

The facility to view your exam scores online, is not only available for pass class but unsuccessful ones could also check out their weak areas.

 

 

Here, we shall see some of the common scenarios that would have lead to your disqualification (screenshot of result page shown above).

 

Minimum qualifying scores

The process followed by IBPS for arriving at standard scores are complex as it involves equating, standardizing etc.,The detailed handout can be had from their site

On the other hand, calculating TWS (total scores) is easy & can be easily understood.

  

Now we shall look at how cutoffs are implemented.To qualify in the common test, you

• Must have secured minimum standard score in each test paper
  • 24+ for general & 21+ for others
• Must have the required Total weighted standard score (TWS)
  • Gen/OBC: 135, SC: 127, ST:106

A candidate is considered qualified only if he/she has scored equal to or above the fixed cutoffs mentioned overleaf.

 

If the score is not above the required limit in any one section, you shall be considered as ‘FAIL’.In such cases, descriptive paper will not be taken for evaluation.

 

Why 0? 

Some are shocked to see 0 as score in certain papers & argue they have attended maximum no. of questions in those sections.But there are other ‘factors’ such as,

• Negative marks: This could have played a vital role in bringing down your score as each wrong answer reduces 0.25 marks.

What matters most is the no. of correct answers, than the the number of answered questions.

 

Lost in Descriptive 

The descriptive test is taken up for evaluation only if you have minimum scores in all subjects.At the same time, it is necessary for you to qualify in this section also for being declared ‘PASS’

• Some have cleared all subjects but failed to get shortlisted as their score in descriptive test was below the specified cut-off.

This part contains writing long essays, comprehension etc., that test one`s english language skills.Infact many had complained about lack of time after the exam.

 

Revaluation possible?

Many applicants who have lost their chance by just 1 or 2 marks are enquiring with us about re-checking & re-evaluation of answer sheets.

 

Unfortunately, there is NO PROVISION given by IBPS to apply for revaluations & hence it is not possible.

 

To improve your current scores – you will have to appear for the next PO common exam.

Indian Bank 1200 Clerk Recruitment – Final Results Announced

Indian Bank has opened its doors for new employees with the publication of clerk recruitment results.The bank had advertised to fill 1200 vacancies from qualifiers of 2011 IBPS clerical exam.The final list is now out after eligible applicants were taken through their selection process.

 

While aspirants are gearing up for the IBPS clerk common exam 2012, these results could leave some happy.

 

The main reason could be the updated rules being enforced in this latest edition of CWE which were non-existent previously.

 

1201 Clerk Posts

For a total of 1201 clerk vacancies notifications were released by Indian bank in the month of June 2012.Of the total available positions, bulk of it were in the states of Tamilnadu (357) & Andhra Pradesh (285)

 

Like in other bank recruitments, eligibility TWS scores were specified & only those above it were called to submit their applications.

 

Final results 

Based on the scores, candidates were shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 & statewise, categorywise cutoffs were fixed for personal interviews held in August.

On expected lines, the final selection is done by combining your scores of IBPS CWE & interview to arrive at a merit list.

Joining:

Appointment letters are being sent to the selected people from their respective zonal offices, says Indian bank.They have also advised the candidates to report for induction training on the given dates along with necessary documents.

Waiting lists are being released continuously for PO jobs by various banks.So if there are any dropouts, Indian bank ‘may’ also come out with 2nd list for these clerical posts.

Since its not possible to know their future course of action at this stage, we may have to wait further.

IBPS PO CWE 2012 Results Announced; 61000 Qualify

Expectations are always high among participants of competitive examinations & especially in India with majority of youth vying for govt jobs, the wait is always haunting. But aspirants looking for bank jobs in India will feel relieved as IBPS PO 2012 results have been released today by the institute.

 

In 2011, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) was given the mandate to conduct common written examinations (CWE) on behalf of 19 public sector banks for Officer & Clerk positions.

 

 

IBPS PO CWE 2012 Results

Since then, tests arranged by individual banks have been abolished to bring a single testing pattern for all banking organizations.Accordingly, the 2nd common exam for probationary officers was held on June 17, 2012 by the institute.

Approximately 7.5 lakh sat for the exams of which 61,339 candidates have cleared & would proceed further.

When can I see my marks?

Individual scores in each paper, minimum qualifying marks & total weighted scores (TWS) can be viewed online at their website itself after 10 days.

So qualifiers can expect to receive scorecards from the 3rd or 4th week of October. 

It is not only necessary to secure minimum marks totally but also in each paper. So even if you have not qualified in one paper, it amounts to complete disqualification. Infact, that is the reason for many candidates to flunk in such exams

 

New jobs from 2013?

As IBPS has also said that these latest scores can be used from December 12, one can expect new bank recruitments for IBPS 2012 passouts to be announced starting 2013.

Karthik from Chennai says, “I have failed to get in.I was not able to attend many interviews due to low marks in last year`s CWE but was determined to post good scores this time atleast.   From my experience, the test was tough since 7 of my friends who went for bank exams coaching have also not qualified & they also said the same.   With the IBPS results out, my hopes are pinned on SBI recruitments & other government exams as the next common test for PO jobs will happen only after 6 months” , he concluded positively.

IOB 1500 Clerks Recruitment – Final Results & Cutoffs Out

Its joining time in Indian Overseas Bank as they have released the list of people who made it to the finals of the clerical recruitment. Right from the beginning, IOB has been very transparent & explanatory which is reflected again as they have also revealed the cutoffs.

 

With results being fast declared, the time to prepare for your next clerk common exam has arrived. IBPS is expected to notify about the test in October which would see only graduates eligible to apply for clerk jobs as declared earlier.

 

Recruitment to fill 1500 clerks

A total of 1500 clerk vacancies was to be filled as part of the Indian overseas bank clerk recruitment project.

The applications were called from IBPS clerical cwe passouts & all were eligible since minimum scores were 120 (gen) & 105 (others)

Personal interviews for eligible applicants were held from August 24 for which state-wise & category-wise cutoff TWS marks was released.

 

Final Appointments:

The roll numbers of candidates chosen for appointment as clerk in IOB is available for download from their website here.The list is categorized as per the states applied for

 

The final list is prepared by adding IBPS clerk exam & interview scores which are then sorted in descending order (high to low).The total cutoff for each state is also publicly displayed by IOB that can be seen here.

 

While the interviewing stage carried a total of 50 marks, it was necessary for an individual to secure atleast 22.5 marks (20 for reserved category) to qualify for final selection.

 

Probation & Rural service:

Although there is no requirement for appointed candidates to execute service bonds with IOB, they shall be on probation for a period of 6 months after which their performance would be assessed.

 

The bank in its initial advt. had also placed a condition for new joinees to work in rural branches for minimum 5 years

Corporation Bank 355 Asst.Manager Recruitment – Final Results

For all those who were waiting for some activity in the banking jobs space, here is an announcement.Corporation bank has completed its PO recruitment by releasing the list of those finalized for appointment.With only results being notified by banks, it seems the PO vacancies for IBPS 2011 have virtually come to an end.

 

For IBPS CWE 2011 scorecard holders, around 19000 PO vacancies in public sector bank were created & selection process are over in many.Due to multiple selections, some banks are calling candidates from waiting lists.

 

About Corporation bank`s recruitment exercise,

• 355 vacancies were notified in January 2012 for the post of probationary assistant manager.
• Interview process was held at select cities from August 27
• 1600 applicants (approx.) were shortlisted for interviewing based on the cutoffs fixed after considering the applications.

The Final Results

292 candidates are chosen provisionally by the bank for being appointed as asst. managers.Although their names have not been given – roll nos. are provided in the official document which can be downloaded from their site here (.pdf file)

The appointment letters with detailed info on joining, reporting time, location etc will be sent to these selected individuals via email & post.

Personal interviews were held for a total of 100 marks & to qualify for the merit list, one has to secure atleast 40 marks (35 for reserved cat.)

 

Deposit Rs.50000:

Like in all PSB`s Corporation bank also has a probation period of 2 years & new recruits must execute an agreement to serve the bank for the above mentioned period.

 

For this, a bank guarantee of Rs.50,000 OR a fixed deposit for the same amount must be opened which will be forfeited incase you decide to quit service before 2 years .

 

In case of resigning , you are required to notify before 3 months.

Allahabad Bank 1100 Clerk Posts – Interviews start from Sep 24

Its yet another call for interviews.Allahabad bank today published the list of those found eligible for next stage of selection.These are part of their single window operator recruitment project 2012-13 especially for IBPS clerical CWE qualifiers who posses valid scorecards.

 

1100 clerk vacancies advertised by Allahabad bank for which online registrations closed on August 23.While candidates with either degree or 60% in std.XII were eligible to apply, minimum TWS score statewise & categorywise were fixed which applicants had to fulfill.

 

How many?

Allahabad bank has shortlisted 2106 candidates for personal interviews based on their IBPS TWS scores specified earlier at the time of notification.

Those looking for selection cutoffs may feel disappointed as they have not been revealed.But there is also a possibility for the bank to have chosen all applicants.

Interviews Process

Interviews are set to begin from September 24 that lasts upto 28th in some centres. The bank has also enabled call letter download feature & are requesting the above shortlisted to take a print from allahabadbank.in as no physical mails would be sent.

A total of 35 marks is allotted for the interviewing session & to qualify for final selection, an individual must secure 14 marks (gen) & 12 marks (others)

On the basis of scores in TWS & PI, the bank shall prepare a merit list & rank them in descending order (top to bottom) depending on the vacancies in each state.The ones at the top will be offered appointment in clerical cadre.

UCO Bank & United Bank of India announce Clerk Final Results

Just like PO recruitments banks are also closing the doors for clerical cadre as well as appointments are being finalized.UCO bank & United bank of India have come out with the results for their clerks recruitment held for those qualified through IBPS common written exam.

 

Barring few banks, most others have released notifications for clerk positions.Will there be any more calls for recruitment or should we prepare to appear for the next common written exam – is one of the top question asked by candidates.

 

United Bank`s Final Results

One of the 19 PSB`s participating in IBPS CWE, United bank of India invited applications from CWE passed to fill 751 single window operation vacancies (clerk cadre)  in the month of July 2012.

 

On sorting through the received profiles, 4906 candidates were shortlisted for personal interviews held across various cities starting August 6.TWS cutoffs were set for each state for this purpose & now nearly a month later the bank has published its choices for the post of clerk.

Joining:

Although details of appointment letter & date of joining are not mentioned publicly, select registrants may receive direct communications from the bank on this front.

 

UCO Bank completes Hiring

In May 2012, UCO bank`s notice for 1000 clerical vacancies for eligible pass outs possessing valid IBPS scorecards of common test was released.The minimum TWS scores for states & categories were also specified at that stage itself.

 

Later in the month of July, interview procedures began for which applicants were chosen as per their weighted scores.

The personal interviews for 75 marks were conducted between August 6 to 11th.

 

Reporting on Oct 1:

All those chosen for appointment would soon receive offer letters from their respective zonal offices, says an official statement.

With October 1 being fixed as date of joining, candidates must present themselves at the given branches carrying necessary documents in original.

It also goes on to says that incase of non-receipt of the letter by September 24, they will have to contact zo.offices.

 

Syndicate Bank Clerk Interviews to Start from September 24

The wait has finally ended for applicants of Syndicate bank`s clerk recruitment as the interview dates have been revealed. But what is to be note here is the time taken by the bank to come out with such an announcement.Read on to know about the road ahead...

 

Syndicate bank to recruit for 1000 clerk vacancies invited IBPS CWE qualified scorecard holders to submit online applications upto June 15.

 

Although graduates or 12th passouts were eligible to apply, minimum TWS scores were fixed for each state & only those above it can send their form.

Its already 3 months since the bank started this project & it seems they don't want to waste any more time by calling the same candidates who may have secured appointment in previous PSB`s.

Syndicate bank has proposed to interview all eligible applicants for the post of clerk, says their official notice.

which means all individuals who had registered after satisfying the necessary eligibility conditions can now appear for personal interviews.

 

No separate cutoffs

Since the bank has decided not to shortlist, cutoffs specifically for each category & state do not exist.The minimum total scores mentioned at the time of advt. are treated as cutoffs

 

When does it start?

Interviews are scheduled to commence from September 24 & candidates shall receive sms & email intimating them to download call letters directly at the bank`s website.

Canara Bank Clerk Final Results & OBC PO Interview Dates Out

Everyday a new public banks comes out with their results leaving aspirants hopeful.Today the spotlight turns to Oriental bank of Commerce & Canara bank as they are nearing completion of  officers and clerk recruitments respectively.

 

The hiring in banking sector has just picked up and with IBPS PO 2012 CWE results & new notice for clerical CWE just round the corner, the activity is to increase in the coming weeks.

Both these recruitments were only for those who had qualified in IBPS common exam.

Canara Bank Clerical Results

One of the most awaited Canara bank called for applications from to fill 2000 clerk positions across various 30 Indian states in the month of June 2012.

In July, it was followed by group discussion & personal interviews for which approx. 9000 candidates were shortlisted.

Now a list of 1958 appointments have been finalized by fixing appropriate cutoffs for each category & state.Some vital scores are

• Qualifying score in language proficiency test: 15 marks
• GD & Interview : 55 (gen); 50 (others)

OBC PO & Agri. Officer Interviews

Oriental bank of commerce advertised in July to recruit 325 PO along with 100 Agriculture officers.The minimum TWS score for POs was fixed at 120 (gen.) & 105 for others.

 

OBC has chosen the desired no. of candidates for interview process & has published the cutoff marks as under,

 

According to the advt. it was stated that shortlisting shall be done as per ratio of 1:3 for unreserved & 1:5 for other categories.In relation to that, over 1550 candidates have been called for PO interviews.

Email call-letters:

For the interviews planned from September 12 to 27, call letters shall be sent via email along with sms intimation, says an official release from OBC.

Punjab & Sind Bank 800 Clerks Recruitment – Final Results

Its once again time for joining as Punjab & Sind bank released results for their clerk recruitment.This is in relation to 800 vacancies announced by the bank few months ago.With back to back results, the issue of multiple selections seem to crop up again.

 

Though waitlists are possible, it remains uncertain whether a specific bank shall exercise it & those in mid-low score range do not have any other chance apart from pinning hopes on it.

 

About Punjab & Sind Bank, the advertisement to fill 800 clerk posts was out in the month of April.This was followed by personal interviews that happened in July end.

 

773 set to join

The total number of clerk positions made available for IBPS clerical common exam scorecard holders was 800.Since no minimum TWS scores were specified, all passouts were eligible.

Finally, 773 candidates are found eligible for appointment as clerk & their names, state applied for & roll no., are published, which can be had from the official site here (.pdf file)

 

For the interviews held from July 23 – 31, PSB had shortlisted applicants by fixing cutoff scores based on TWS scores (state-wise)

 

Letters of appointment are being sent through speed post to the address mentioned in application of the registrant, confirms the bank statement.

 

The process:

Personal interview (PI) was held for a total of 100 marks & it is necessary of each applicant to secure atleast 45% (35% for reserved category) to qualify for final selection.

 

The merit list for appointment is prepared by giving weightage of 85% & 15% to IBPS CWE & interview marks respectively.Candidates are then ranked statewise & category-after which the final selection list is released.

 

Waiting for common interviews

Ever since the news of Govt. planning common interviews for bank jobs came up, there is a section of people waiting for it to be implemented.

 

They are none other than candidates who feel left behind due to high scorers occupying most PO & clerk seats are expecting.

 

As no official announcement on this matter has been issued till now, the wait continues..

 

 

 

Andhra Bank 600 Clerk Recruitment Ends – Final Results Out!!

Andhra Bank has completed its recruitment project 2012-13 as they have come out with list of candidates selected for the post of Clerk.Few days back 2 other PSB`s had also finalized of appointments through IBPS selection process.From the looks of it, by the end of September most public sector banks that had called for applications would  fill their vacancies. 

 

Andhra bank`s recruitment notification released in the month of April mentioned of 600 clerical positions.

 

This was followed by an interview process held from August 6 to 9th that saw applicants getting shortlisted based on state-wise cutoff scores.

 

Final Results

The personal interviews were conducted for a total of 35 marks & only those securing minimum 40% (35% for sc/st) shall be considered as qualified.

 

Though the number of vacant seats in Andhra Pradesh was only 155, 225 have been appointed.For the remaining 445 posts in other states, 365 are selected.

Letters Sent

No Bond

Those chosen for appointment as PO shall be in probation period for 6 months.But there is no service bond or surety to be provided like in the case of PO employees.

Union Bank of India Clerk Recruitment – Final Results Released

The final results are out for Union Bank of India`s clerk recruitment project 2012.With new announcements almost drying up, applicants are all eyes on interview schedules & final appointment list.Since the possibility of waitlists would be known only after joining process, unsuccessful candidates have to buckle up for next exams.

 

Union bank had advertised to appoint 1636 clerk/ single window operators & applications were sought from those who had passed in graduation.

 

Based on the specified eligibility conditions, candidates were shortlisted based on their TWS scores over 8500 were called for Interview that was held from August 1 to 9.

 

Who are Appointed?

Following the completion of GD & Interview, union bank of India has finalized the provisional list as 1593 candidates have been found eligible for clerical cadre appointment.

According to their initial notification total marks for interview was 50 & those not securing 25 marks wont be considered for final meritlisting.

Appointment letters are being sent to address of communication mentioned din the IBPS application, says the bank`s statement.It will contain further stuff about joining date & other formalities to complete before reporting.

 

No Cutoffs:

The bank has not released detailed cutoff scores fixed for each state & category.So it is not possible to deduce the chances of others.

 

Whether they are planning to release these info or not shall only be known in the coming days, as some banks had put out these details onto their website a week after publication of results.

Corporation Bank 317 Asst.Manager Posts - Interviews to Start

Corporation Bank is ready to conduct Interviews once again for recruitment to the post of Probationary assistant manager.The bank had already completed its first stage in by selecting 355 people.Now another round is arranged after lowering the cutoffs.

 

Following the publication of appointment list in February for 355 asst.manager vacancies, corporation bank came up with another notification in June to fill 317 positions.

 

With IBPS cwe qualifiers already ruing over high cutoffs due to multiple selections – how many unique people shall attend these interviews remain a question.

 

Cut-off Scores

Corporation bank in its latest release has published the minimum cutoffs.According to it,

This means only those registrants who had secured above this score in CWE 2011 are called for the personal interview process.

 

1600+ Called

For the personal Interviews(PI), Corporation bank has shortlisted a little over 1600 candidates & their roll nos. are only displayed.Get to download that list, cutoff & interview venue details from their website here

 

Call letters for PI process are sent by email & so check your emails regularly.Do remember to glance in spam/junk folders as such mails can often land in there.

From August 27th the process begins at various centres across India for which candidates from nearby states & cities shall have to take note

Speaking about interviews, the total marks is 100 with minimum fixed at 40%

(35% for sc/st/obc) to qualify.

Bond: If finally selected for appointment you are required to deposit Rs.50,000 into an FD account with the bank for 2 yrs & also sign an agreement to serve the bank for two years.

 

The deposit amount shall be forfeited incase of quitting or resigning before the said period.

Punjab National Bank & Indian Bank PO Jobs – 2nd List Out!!

Though PO recruitment final results are announced banks seem to have unfilled vacancies as they come out with 2nd lists.The primary reason for this can be attributed to the multiple selection secured by some applicants who can join any one.Indian bank & Punjab national bank have released the next set of appointments.

 

Long story short, a total of 19000 PO jobs in public sector banks were created during the last six months & applications were sought from those who cleared the common written exam conducted by IBPS.

 

The latest to come out are Punjab National Bank & Indian Bank

 

PNB 2nd Final List

A total of 775 PO/ MT vacancies was advertised as part of Punjab national bank`s recruitment project.Based on their selection procedures the bank listed around 310 people were listed as appointed in the moth of June.

 

Soon after, PNB came up with a 2nd phase of Interviews in July for which 2607 were shortlisted to attend.The schedule extended upto 1st week of August.

From this 2nd phase the bank has chosen 340 candidates for appointment whose names & roll nos. can be seen from this file here

 

September Joining

All the latest set of people have been sent appointment letters & are advised to report at the mentioned centre on September 10 for completing joining formalities.

 

Indian Bank – More to join:

The recruitment for 452 Probationary Officers (scale I) was announced by Indian Bank way back in February 2012.

 

After sorting applications as per CWE & personal interview scores, the bank in May had announced names of registrants appointed as PO.They were invited to attend the induction training on August 16 & 27.

Now Indian bank has put up another list of 298 candidates who shall join the other batch in Chennai on Aug 27.See the chosen roll nos. from here (.pdf file)
