The IBPS RRB 2022 notification for recruitment of office assistants and officers in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) was recently released. With 8100 job vacancies in 43 RRBs, candidates are required to register their preferences among the given banks. To make it easy for you to choose, knowing the state-wise & bank-wise vacancies list along with official language of each state is necessary.
Just like there is recruitment for PO & Clerk jobs in public sector banks, jobs in regional rural banks are filled through IBPS RRB exams.The 43 RRBs that participate in IBPS RRB 2022 exam are spread across all major states, each having its own official language & head office.
IBPS RRB 2020 Vacancies
As part of IBPS RRB XI, a total of 8106 vacancies are to be filled in regional rural banks (RRB) during the year 2022-23.The online registration of applications are open from June 1 to 27, 2022.
These openings are categorized under various cadres, ranging from Office assistant and Officer (scale I, II & III) which are:
- Office Assistant – 4483
- Officer Scale-I – 2676
- Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer) – 745
- Officer Scale-II (Agricultural Officer) – 12
- Officer Scale II (IT) – 57
- Officer Scale II (Law) – 18

- Officer Scale II (Treasury Manager) – 10

Should I know the local language of the state?
Since the IBPS RRB recruitment is conducted state-wise, candidates are required to apply for vacancies in any one state only.
While doing so, it is compulsory to possess local language proficiency (able to read, write & speak the local/ official language of the state, where the RRB is located).
- Candidates should have studied the local language in class 8 or above.
- If a candidate has not studied the language in class 8 or above, he/ she must learn it and acquire proficiency, within 6 months of joining the bank.
