Union Bank of India Clerk Interviews – 8500 Called to Attend

To appoint 1636 clerks, Union bank of India had invited online application from valid IBPS clerk CWE scorecard holders.The online registration process closes only on July 7.

Now 21 days after closure, the bank has come out with its announcement of Interview schedule

8000+ to be interviewed:

Union bank of India has shortlisted 8499 candidates for interview sessions.The ratio mentioned in their recruitment advertisement was 1:3 for general & 1:5 for reserved categories.

The personal interviews are to be held from August 1 to 9, 2012 across states.

The details such as venue location, date, time etc can be known from the list uploaded to the bank`s website here

This file also contains the names, roll no. of selected candidate who are advised by the bank to watch their emails for call letters.

About Interview process

As far the personal interviews (PI) are concerned, the total allotted marks is 50 & shortlisted applicants are to secure 50% of it (45% for reserved) to qualify.

Only those passing in PI will be considered for final selection list that is to be prepared by taking into account your IBPS TWS & interview marks.

Although not mentioned, it is possible for the bank to test your proficiency in local language of the state applied for.As some previous banks had asked registrants to write a small passage in their regional language, union bank of India may also follow.

So if you have been called for the interviews, be ready to face few questions in the state`s local lang.

Union bank has specified this as one of the eligibility condition for clerical level posts.
