The hottest talk among job groups for quite some time is ‘When will SBI clerk recruitment 2013 take place’.To work for State bank of India is considered a prestige for many & so is the reason behind the eagerness shown by aspirants to know about its hiring plans.So we look at what to expect from the bank in the year 2013.
The discussions have greatly increased post the completion of allotment process by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
Many candidates couldn’t get allotments due to low marks inspite of qualifying in IBPS CWE & common interviews.They are also looking forward for new bank exams in 2013 to enter the booming sector.
No IBPS Common Test for SBI
Even if you have cleared the IBPS common clerk exams those scores cannot be used to register for SBI recruitments.Infact qualifying in IBPS CWE is even not required for securing a job in State bank of India.
The reason is State bank & its 5 associate banks do not feature among the 19 banks which hire through IBPS platform.SBI will conduct individual examinations to fill clerical vacancies happening within the group.
Based on the notifications issued by SBI applicants have to pay fees, submit applications & appear for exams.This shall be followed by GD or Interview.
Announcement on June 15?
Recruitments in State Bank of India often comes out of the blue.There won’t be any indications prior to the official announcement.
IBPS conducts CWE for PO, clerks & specialist officers once a year which is known to all.But State bank of India does not follow a definite schedule to recruit for their job vacancies.Once the notification appears it becomes ‘breaking news’.
Coming to the upcoming SBI clerk recruitment 2013 there is a strong talk of the 19000 clerical vacancies notice to be published on June 15.
- While some blogs are chipping in with some information on the expected dates, popular online news publications such as amarujala.com quote their sources of confirming the proposed hiring activity in June.
We called up few senior officials at SBI but they remained noncommittal throughout.At the same time, trainers of bank exam coaching centres are eagerly awaiting this recruitment.
“Yes.State bank is to recruit for clerical posts & I have confirmed with the people whom I know.I am not sure if they would start on June 15 but hoping to see it before July 1st week” said A.Kiran an independent trainer from Hyderabad.
SBI Clerk Eligibility
If the news of 19000 clerical recruitment in SBI does turn true, every aspirant would want to know the eligibility conditions.
Unlike the conditions fixed for IBPS common exams, eligibility criteria for SBI jobs have always been lenient.For a long time they have stuck to
- Pass in degree OR minimum 60% marks in std.XII
- Agelimit of 18 – 28 years (+3yrs for OBC, +5yrs for SC/ST)
