As part of UIIC AO recruitment, 300 vacancies for the post of administrative officers were announced.The online registrations to submit your applications closes on May 17, 2016.

Talking about UIIC AO job profile, administrative officers are primarily responsible for all the general administration decisions taken in a specific department.

Their salary is approx Rs.40,000 /month excluding allowances & are not involved in marketing insurance policies.

UIIC AO Exam Pattern

Unlike bank exams, there are no preliminary & main exams.Candidates need to appear for only 1 exam on June 12, 2016 that consists of

  • Objective Test for 200 marks 
  • Descriptive test for 30 marks.

Since this is a recruitment for 2 different cadres, there is a difference in the pattern of specialist & generalist officers exam as well.

UIIC AO Generalist: This is similar to any other normal competitive exam with the same sections & marks.

UIIC AO Specialist: Incase you had applied for specialist posts such as finance, mechanical/ electrical/ civil engineering, legal, actuary etc., you should attend an additional paper called the ‘Test of professional knowledge’.

It will have objective questions related to the department you had chosen, from subjects you had studied in degree.

This additional test is to assess candidate`s technical & professional knowledge in relevant discipline.

Descriptive Test: There is descriptive test on english language for both positions that should be answered immediately after completing the objective test.

This paper to test your written english skills will only have 2 questions about:

  • Letter writing for 10 marks
  • Essay writing for 20 marks

A candidate need to qualify in descriptive test, but the marks in this paper shall not be considered for final selection.
