Selected candidates are paid salary in the payscale of Rs.20,600 – Rs.46,500 during the 1st year (training period).On successful completion of training & passing the test, you will be placed in E3 grade with payscale of Rs.24,900 – Rs.50,500.
The take home salary for management trainees in Coal India is Rs.38,000 – Rs.42,000 /month (approx) depending on your place of posting.

Are you Eligible?
Inorder to apply for coal india management trainee recruitment 2017, applicants need to posses the following conditions:
- Age not more than 30 years for general category as on Dec 1, 2016 (+3 yrs for OBC, +5 yrs for SC/ ST)
- Completed degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD), as on Dec 1, 2016
Due to different posts, the educational qualification varies for each discipline.Check the below table for list of permitted degrees.
Mining / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Chemical / Mineral / Electronics & Telecomm / Industrial: BE/ Btech / AMIE / BSc (engg) in relevant branch with 60% marks.
Systems/ IT: BE/ BTech/ B.Sc (engg) in Computer science / Computer engg / IT or MCA
Geology: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geology or Applied Geology
Finance & Accounts: Should be a qualified CA/ ICWA. MBA & MCom graduates not eligible
Personnel & HR: 2 years full time PG degree/ diploma in HR/ Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management OR MHROD OR MBA OR Master of Social Work with
specialization in HR.

Coal India MT recruitment selection procedure involves a computer based online examination to be held on March 26th.It consists of two papers:
- Paper I: 100 marks with objective questions from General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical ability & General English
- Paper II: 100 marks in Professional Knowledge (post related)
While the total duration of the exam is 3 hours, both papers must be attended on a single day itself.
For each correct answer, you are awarded 1 mark but there is no negative mark for wrong answers.
Candidates who qualify in online test & posses the required scores are shortlisted for interview stage.Final selection depends on the combined merit of both stages.
Registrations & Application
The application fee of Rs.1000 (GEN/ OBC) should be paid only through online mode i.e. Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking etc.No other mode of payment of fee is allowed.
All SC/ ST/ PWD candidates/ Employees of Coal India Limited & its subsidiaries are exempted from paying the registration fees.
After submitting the online application form, make sure to take a print of the generated form & payment acknowledgement slip for future reference.
