Its registration time once again with IBPS announcing common written exam (CWE) 2013 for clerk jobs in banks.Although this is not new, the questions raised about eligibility are massive.Some rules implemented for IBPS clerk 2013 selection is one of the reason for doubts to arise among aspirants.
Inorder to help those stuck in deciding whether they are eligible or not, we are providing here a list of frequently asked questions & answers.This should solve most of your doubts related to registering for the all India banking test.
Q: I heard there are some new changes in educational qualifications.What are they?
A: To register for this IBPS clerical CWE, you must have completed graduation (any degree/stream)
Unlike previous years, std.XII criteria has been scrapped & those who haven’t completed degree are now not eligible for clerk jobs in public sector banks.
Q: I am currently in final year/semester of degree.Can I apply?
A: No. As said above, registrants should hold a degree as on August 1, 2013. So, if you are currently undergoing any course in college, you are not eligible.
Q: To calculate total marks, should I take the marks in optional/honor subjects also?
A: Yes. The marks in secured in all papers for all the years should be considered while filling the percentage field in application form.
Q: My college released results in July but the marksheets were given only last week. Am I eligible for the clerk exam?
A: No.The date appearing on mark sheet or provisional certificate should be on or before August 1, 2013.If the date is later, you don’t posses the eligibility condition & cant apply.
Q: I belong to general category & my age is 28 years & 3 months.Am I fit to apply?
A: No. Applicants of general cat. should be 28 years or less.The max. age is relaxed by 5 yrs for SC/ST, 3 yrs for OBC etc.,You should not exceed the specified age limit even by a day.
Q: I have studied computer science.Should I need a computer certificate too?
A: No. Candidates who had computer operations or language/ IT as a subject in high school/college are not required to produce certifications.
Q: I have done a software course from an institute & have its certificate.Is that enough?
A: Yes. As per the IBPS advt, certificates issued by any computer training institute can be used as proof of possessing comp.literacy.
Q: Can I choose any state to appear for test?
A: The recruitments for clerk vacancies is done state-wise.Hence the test centre should be located in that state only.
So register for written test in one specific state you wish to work after selection. Remember, its not possible to change the state after results are released.
example – if you want to work as clerk in Andhra Pradesh banks, choose AP under ‘centre of examination’ in the online application & select test location from the list.
Q: I know only to speak a certain language.Can I apply for that state?
A: You should be able to read/write & speak the official language of the state registering for.This condition is not compulsory but those with language skills will be preferred first.
example situation: Lets say, you are residing in Bangalore & can speak kannada but don’t know to read or write it.On the other hand, you are proficient in hindi.In this case, its better to apply for states which have hindi as official language.

I am an aspirant going to give the Common Written exam for Clerical Cadre. I have one query regarding the examination structure. I wanted to know if:
1) The "Test of Numerical Ability" in any way is related to Quantitative Aptitude or is it a separate branch of study altogether.
2) Do I have to prepare the "Quantitative Aptitude" section. And if yes, then all the sections like Simplification, Number System, Squares, Cubes, Surds and Indices, Decimal Fraction, HCF, LCM, Averages & Problems of Ages, Ratio and Proportion, Partnership, Mixtures and Alligation, Percentage, P&L, Interest, Unitary Method, Time and Work etc.

A new printable ereceipt will be opened.

This is Janardhanan again. Further to my previous clarifications,
I had keyed the following details of qualification other than degree :
10th Std - 12th August 2006
12th Std - 21st May 2008
Taj, If you have taken printout of online payment,that is e-receipt which must be submitted at the test centre.
Venkat, take any one call letter & forget about the other.
Janardhanan, apart from degree, see if u have entered any other qualification that exceeds the cut-off date of 01.08.2011
Dear Sir,
If I key 25.06.2011 as passing the Degree examination date, the application is not getting saved and an error as "Qualification details should be as on 01.08.2011 - Please try again to register"
I am unable to submit the on line application.
What is the problem, sir.

i have paid the fee for ibps cwe clerks exam throught sbi bank credit visa card. i took the print of the recepit showing that i have paid the amount but what is e-receipt ? how can i get original if i had paid online through internet ?

sir actually i registered two times due to the problem at the server side of IBPS on the last date,due to this i got two call letters for the exam,both are different roll numbers,what can i do?
