Punjab Sind Bank(PSB) has completed its 2012 recruitment project as they have released the list of candidates selected for the post of Probationary Officers.Few days back 2 other PSB`s had also announced of appointments.So by the end of August, most public sector banks would be filling their PO vacancies, it seems.
But how many unique candidates are set to join is a big question taking into account the multiple selections.
PSB Selection Process
Following the completion of IBPS common written exam & issuing of scorecards, PSB had advertised to fill 900 PO jobs with IBPS CWE qualified candidates in May 2012.
Later in the month of July applicants were shortlisted for Interviews & cutoffs were revealed.Intimations were sent through email & sms directly without any lists or names being uploaded.
The interview process for a total of 100 marks was held from July 9 – 18.So from the looks of it, the bank has taken approx. 3 months time to wrap up their hiring process.
Appointment orders by post
The final list made public today by the bank on their website here (pdf file) contains name, roll no & birth date of the selected person.
Punjab sind bank also goes on to say,
Offer letters have been mailed through speed post & advises appointees to bring the required documents mentioned here at the time of joining.
The appointment letter could provide you with details about reporting date, centre & its address.
So make sure to depute someone to collect the post at your address if you wont be available to receive it personally.
Rs.50k Bond
Candidates chosen for appointment as PO have to serve the bank for 3 years.For this purpose, a service bond of Rs.50,000 should be executed by all along with 1 surety of equal value.
The format for presenting the bond & other certificates are being sent with the appoint. letter.Hence read the instructions carefully before moving ahead.
