Union Bank of India Selects 10000 for PO Interview

Union Bank of India has come out with the list of candidates eligible for interview process.This is the first bank to announce the results after the common written exam for bank jobs (PO & clerks) were introduced by IBPS in 2011.As part of this,over 10,000 have qualified for the next stage of selection.

Before proceeding to the results feature, here is a quick look at what has happened so far,

The online registrations for Union bank of India recruitment of 2473 PO were accepted upto 14th of January 2012 & within 2 weeks, the bank has completed choosing !!

About the selection

  • Only those with 55% marks in graduation were asked to apply
  • Based on the total weighted score given in the scorecard, merit list is prepared.
  • Candidates have been shortlisted as per the ratio of 1:3 (for Gen) & 1:5 (for reserved cat.) 
  • Interviews shall be conducted for 50 marks wherein the minimum cutoff is 25 (22.5 for reserved)

Applicants who have scored above the given marks in CWE (total weighted score) & satisfy other eligibility conditions such as graduation, age etc., are shortlisted for the personal interview.

10,611 candidates have been selected for interviews scheduled to happen from Feb 6, 2012 across many centres.(see 1.1 lakh pass common PO exam)

Official list

Union bank of India few days back, had uploaded the PDF file containing names of those selected along with date, time & interview venue.It also had the roll numbers, date of birth & category of applicants.

Although the announcement taken off briefly yesterday,the listings are made available on their website here which can be downloaded to see if you are one among the chosen.

So you may also look for any kind of communication from the bank until the list is available online.
