Bank Jobs vs. SSC Jobs:

ssc jobs vs bank jobs, bank jobs or govt jobs, ssc jobs vs bank jobs, should i choose bank jobs over ssc jobs This is one of the biggest question that we encounter whenever any SSC notification is published.

Infact, there is nothing called SSC jobs since SSC is just an organization like IBPS that fills vacancies in govt. departments through respective selection process.

Incase if you wish to compare, it should be taken only as bank jobs VS govt jobs filled through SSC.

But since 60,000 bank jobs were created last year in public sector banks across India, the comparison is unavoidable.

Are salaries in bank jobs & govt jobs same? – is one another doubt that seems to haunt many youngsters searching for opportunities in govt sector.

To answer it, here is a quick comparison – so everyone can understand & benefit:

  • Bank employees don’t come under the government payroll directly, although banks are owned by Govt. of India.
  • Salary hikes/ wage revisions are announced by the government after a pay commission. They are meant only for those directly employed by them & NOT for those in public banks.

The salaries for bank employees are negotiated between the management, employee unions & government officials once every 3 years.Bankers salary may increase in 2017, as talks are set to begin soon.

  • This is the reason for regular strikes by bank employees.
  • Employees in a bank have to deal with customers daily while its not a necessity in other govt jobs (except few depts.)

Finally, bank jobs cannot be compared with those filled through SSC as their profiles, & responsibilities are completely different.

We feel this article would have given you an overview about the upcoming SSC exams in 2017 & what type of govt jobs are to be filled, while also answering some of your long standing doubts.
