Banking sector is the highest generator of jobs in the year 2009,says Assocham.So,it is more important in knowing how to apply for bank jobs online,since most banks in India accept only online applications submitted through their websites.In fact,the number of candidates applying for bank exams is far higher than the number of jobs posted.The result – Site goes down / Errors while opening the application link etc.
Bank of India recruitment is a perfect example for the problems faced in applying online.Candidates rushed in during the last 2 days making the site unable to handle the huge load making it very slow(we received more than 100 emails from desperate candidates asking what to do).The authorities then extended the last dates & devised an alternate solution for the applicants.
The next time you apply online for bank jobs / bank exams,follow the below,
1) Use Internet Explorer (IE) browser to apply.Most banking websites are created specifically for IE.Though they tend to open in other browsers, its always better to submit your applications through IE browser.
2) Most online registration pages of banks expire within 15 mins,so you have to fill in the necessary information within it,else it would display ‘Session expired’ message.
3) Make sure you have all the certificates,mark sheets & payment receipt/voucher handy,so that filling the form doesn't take much time.
4) Try to access the online registration links during early morning or late night hours.As the net congestion is low during these hours,sites tend to open much faster.
5) Finish early.Never wait for the last date to submit applications.It is common,that most candidates access the link during the last week causing extra load on the server,which in turn brings down the site,making life difficult for others.
6) Contact the bank`s customer care number(given in all bank websites) incase of any issues.Let them know of any problems faced during the online process so they can formulate an alternate solution.
Technology,which is also used by many public sector banks in India has drastically reduced the time involved in sending applications for bank exams.Using it effectively is the key to success.Wishing all readers to perform well in the upcoming bank exams
