There was a time when every Indian graduate preferred to work in public sector banks as it provided job security & societal status.Those days seem to be returning again with renewed interest for bank jobs as lakhs of young people register to take part in banking exams.In addition to govt. banks, regional rural bank (RRB) a.k.a gramin bank recruitments are garnering good responses.

 

To extend banking services in rural areas, Regional Rural Bank Act, 1976 was passed by Government of India.This paved way for gramin banks to be setup in remote villages & towns enabling those people to improve their livelihood & increase agriculture development.

 

With 60000 banking jobs created in 2012 alone – aspirants are looking forward to see similar nos. continue for next few years.

 

RRB Recruitments in 2013

As on date there are 82 regional rural banks in India across all states/UT.Inorder to fill officer & office assistant vacancies in these RRBs, a common written examination is conducted by IBPS.
