Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) – the oldest & most popular public sector insurance company in India was formed in the year 1956.Currently with over 2000 branches across 8 zones of the nation, LIC announced recruitment for 13000 DSE posts.
The primary job of a Direct Sales Executive (DSE) in LIC is mostly marketing. They would have to bring in new business, meet customers, provide policy related services to customers in allotted areas.It may also involve travelling & touring within those regions.

The position is contract based & selected candidates shall be engaged for 3 years.

Am I Eligible?
The government owned insurance company has framed the following criteria for those applying to DSE jobs,
- Aged between 21 – 35 yrs, as on June 1, 2013 (max. age is 40 for sc/st, 38 for obc)
- Degree from a recognized university (preference for marketing majors)
- Should have good knowledge of English & local language
- Computer skills (MS-Office) is an added qualification.
Based on the performance of executive, monthly remuneration would be fixed.
Process of Selection
LIC will fill vacancies by selecting candidates through a written test & short listing from them for personal interviews.
While the date, venue, time etc for the objective type exam will be intimated later, it would comprise of the following sections – General knowledge, Test of reasoning, Sales Aptitude & Numerical ability.
Those who qualify in the written test shall be shortlisted for personal interviews which is the final stage of selection.
Registrations
Applicants have to pay application fee of Rs.100 (except SC/ST) in cash at any LIC branch under account code 114034 & obtain a miscellaneous receipt containing payment details.This should be submitted at the time of test/ interview.
On successful fee payment, proceed to submit the online application form available at licindia.in. Do not forget to save the generated username/password & also print the submitted form for future reference.
